Boats and Ballot, First Sail

BPSOS-Houston staff working with community members in learning about the upcoming election.

On August 14th, we hosted a Boats and Ballots night at our office to help the community get ready for the November election.

Community members dropped by to share boba, matcha, and chicken nuggets while folding origami boats and connecting with staff and each other. We also handed out quick reference guides breaking down the local candidates and campaigns on the upcoming ballot. It was a great time for civic education and making sure everyone’s voices are heard.
